12 - Prosperity begins with being
Eligible for True Riches
Luke chapter 16:
11 If you cannot be trusted with worldly riches, then who will trust you with true riches?
12 And if you cannot be trusted with things that belong to someone else, who will give you things of your own?
13 "No servant can serve two masters. The servant will hate one master and love the other, or will follow one master and refuse to follow the other. You cannot serve both God and worldly riches."
(New Century Version of the Holy Bible)
n today's reading, the Lord Jesus tells us that God wants to give His servants "true riches". If I learn to handle my money correctly, God will give me true riches.
There are tests to pass before He will be able to do this:
1. He will give you a little responsibility and check your faithfulness on that assignment.
2. Then He will test you with a few possessions and check your faithfulness in handling that.
3. Thirdly, He will observe how you will care for the possessions of others, like your employer
4. The final test is who you will choose to serve. Will you choose to serve God? Or will you choose to serve Worldly Riches? |
Our Heavenly Father will be assessing you for promotion in the area of True Riches by looking at how you respond to these tests of life.
Remember that others may not be able to observe how you handle possessions, responsibility, other people's property or your money. But God is looking at your lifestyle from His own vantage point, and He misses nothing. None of us can fool Him.
Prayer:
Father, help me to put You first in my priority list. Help me to seek Your interests first in my life, so You will be able to reward me with True Riches, which come only from You, in Jesus' name,
Amen. |
